Plan on stopping by the high school cafeteria on Thursday evening for a meet the coach night. Our new football coach, Billy Burke, will be here from 6:30-8:00 to meet players, parents, staff & community members.


Attention College Bound Seniors:
Local Scholarship applications are due this Friday.
Also, the F.A.F.S.A. needs to be completed as soon as possible.


Chieftain Scholar applications are due to Mrs. Schultheiss in the guidance office no later than Thursday, February 28th.


Boys tennis: Reminder to boys tennis players that the team will meet @ 2:55 on Friday, March 1st in the hallway near room 161 for conditioning. Please bring your racket & be dressed for running.

The ONLY softball open gym this week is Tuesday, from 3-4:30 @ the Middle School. 
Tryouts begin Monday the 25th @ 3:00, at the Middle School.

The Boys Outdoor Track meeting is this Thursday, Feb. 21st
in the lecture hall after morning announcements.

There will be a brief meeting for Girls Outdoor Track this Thursday,
Feb. 21st in the cafeteria after morning announcements.

Beyond the Bell, regularly attending students:
Reminder: Your bowling field trip permission slips are due Tuesday,
Feb. 19th, to Ms. Kline in room 145.

Kurt Thompson from Herff Jones will be here today, Monday, February 18th during lunch periods to pass out recently ordered senior graduation materials. Seniors, if you ordered before January 15th, please see Kirk during your lunch. He will be bringing more packets for those that have not yet ordered .

Balfour Class Rings will be here on Wed., Feb. 20th during lunch periods in the cafeteria. The representative will take orders, deliver rings, and make any adjustments as needed to student's rings. If ordering, a $70.00 deposit is needed to place the order. Delivery will be in the spring. Ring order packets are available in the Athletic Office.

Athletes: The mandatory parent meeting for indoor track & spring athletes is Monday February 25th @ 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. This meeting is only required if your parent has not previously attended a fall or winter meeting.



Interested in trying out for 2013-2014 cheerleading?
There will be a required parent meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the 2013-2014 football & basketball cheerleading squads on Wednesday, February 20th @ 5:00 pm in the LHS cafeteria.
Tryouts will be Feb. 25, 26 & 27 after school until 4:30.


Registration:
Please see Mrs. Tootle in the guidance office to get a registration form if you were absent during registration. Juniors & Sophomores registration forms are due Thursday morning. Freshman forms are due Friday.


FAFSA deadline:
Attention college bound seniors: The following colleges have February 15th (this Friday) as the deadline for the FAFSA:
Otterbein U., Bowling Green State U., Miami U., Ohio State U., Ohio U., and Shawnee State University.

CURRENT SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS
Ohio Business Week (OBW) is an exciting week-long summer program that gives eligible high school students from around the state a unique, hands-on experience with business & entrepreneurship. Students learn directly from the pros how to establish & run their own company. Hosted on a college campus, students are also able to experience what campus life is like & lay the groundwork for a successful future. If you are interested in attending OBW, please see Ms. Norway in the guidance office or Mrs. Myers in room 202.
