The next full Thespian Troupe meeting for all members will be Tuesday, November 4th, in room 316.

Fall play cast and crew:Anyone who wishes to order a shirt for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe must see Mrs. Riggs before the end of school TODAY.  Money is not due at this time, but Mrs. Riggs must have your size and shirt choice today.  

LHS will be holding the annual college fair on November 6, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. All students grades 9-12 are encouraged to attend.  See your counselor if you have any questions.

The following five senior boys have been nominated by the class of 2015 to be Powder Puff Kings: Will Brooks, Chance Cox, Andrew Dilhoff, DJ Madison and Britton Mann.


Beast of The Southeast Dodgeball Tournament: The Logan Boys Golf Program and the Kick Cancer Club at LHS will be hosting the "Beast of the Southeast" dodgeball tournament on SaturdayNovember 15, beginning at 5 p.m. at Logan High School.  Registration forms and information is available in the Athletic Office.  The first 10 teams will be accepted.

Boys soccer- The banquet for boys soccer is October 29.  If you haven't already done so, please pick up a form from Coach Riddlebarger to sign up.

Celebrate My Drive begins today. Be sure to vote and have your friends and family vote everyday from now until Friday, October 24th.  Chrome books will be set up in the cafeteria for voting each day. make a commitment to safe driving and vote each day.  If LHS wins the $100,000.00 prize there will be a car given away to one lucky LHS student!!! 

Congratulations to Mrs. McKinley's classes who won the door decorating contest last week.  Prizes will be delivered tomorrow.



All seniors who have previously, or are currently taking chemistry: Ohio University has a chemistry contest in which they award multiple scholarships and cash prizes. One lucky participant will earn a full rise scholarship plus cash.  The contest will be held on November 8th at OU,  but a limited number can apply.  If you are interested, please attend an information meeting following the morning announcements on Thursday, October 16 in room 250 or see Mrs. Thompson for more details.

The challenge is on.  Join the athletic department to "Tackle Hunger".  The athletic department is challenging all clubs, groups, grade levels, classes, teachers, teams, students and employees to join forces for a great cause - tackling hunger.
A canned food drive is underway.  Sponsor a yard line or the end zone.  All sponsors will be recognized at the last home football game.
Check with your teachers, advisors and coaches to stop by the athletic office for more information.
Please accept the challenge and challenge others.
Support a great cause while helping the many families in need. 


Key Club Meeting - October 27 after school.  Past and present members should check the bulletin board outside of Mrs. Myers room and your school emails for announcements.  Dues will be due at this time.

Picture re-takes - Picture re-takes will be this Friday, October 10.  If you would like your pics re-taken, you must bring your purchases photo packet with you and give to the photographer.  If you did not purchase previously you may do so at this time.  Pick up an order form in the main office.

From the Guidance Office - Applications for the HOBY Seminar are available in the Guidance OFfice.  All 10th graders are eligible to apply.  See a counselor if you are interested in applying.  The applications are due Friday, October 10.

Girls Tennis - Girls Tennis Award Banquet will be Tuesday October 7at 6:  p.m. in the Lecture Hall.  Turn in your uniforms to Coach Helber in room 201 by then.  

Boys basketball- Open gym will be held on Wednesday October 8 from 2:45 p.m.  - 4:00 p.m. in the main gym.

Beyond the Bell Pep Club - and LHS Student Council have organized Spirit Week next week, October 6 through October 10 in preparation for the BIG league football game against rival Jackson and the boys and girls cross country league championship meet.  Join together and show your Chieftain pride by participating in spirit activities all next week. 

We will be having a  Spirit Door competition judged by the Pep Club and Student Council Pres. and  VP.  Every classroom teacher is encouraged to participate with every classroom throughout the day.  judging will be based on:
1.Best Use of Space
2.Best school color usage
3.Most creative
4 Most spirited
5.Best overall

The winning teacher will receive a First Place ribbon (and bite size candy to pass to the classrooms if OKAY.  BTB will purchase.

Monday  - "Purple Power" Wear as much purple as you can!
Tuesday  - "Twinnning Tuesday" Find your bestie and dress alike. 
Wednesday - "Super Hero" - Celebrate your favorite protector! No face masks please. 
Thursday - "Throwback Thursday" - Pick a past decade and rock the attire!
Friday - "White-Out The students will be blinding as our Chiefs head to Jackson for the BIG game!
Pep Bus to Jackson will be leaving at 5:30 Friday, October 10.  Permission slips for the pep bus must be in by Monday, October 6 to the athletic office or Mrs. Huntsberger in room 116.

Next thespian meeting: An officer meeting is on Monday, October 6 from  2:30 to 3:00. Full Troupe Meeting- Wednesday October 8 2:30 to 3:30.  Both will take place in room 316


The public performance of the Talent Show is tonight at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3 at the door. Crew members are reminded to arrive by 5:30 p.m., and performers should report to the theatre no later than 6 p.m.. 

To all work study workers: There will be an important meeting 9th period in the lecture hall, report after the announcements to the lecture hall.

Attention all juniors planning on attending a 4-year college - PSAT sign ups are taking place in the guidance office through Octcober 10.  The PSAT Text will take place here, at LHS, on Wednesday morning, October 15th.  Cost is $15.00.  See the guidance office with questions.  

Reminder to Student Council and Class Officers:  There will be a meeting at 7:00 a.m.tomorrow before school in the lecture hall.   

To All Beyond The Bell students in Drivers Ed. - Drivers Ed packets are due to Mrs. Huntsberger no later than tomorrow, October 2.
