A list of students eligible for induction into the Logan High School National Honor Society is posted posted outside of the guidance office.  Sophomores students with a 3.75 or above cumulative grade point average, and Junior and Senior students with a 3.50 or above cumulative grade point who have attended Logan High School for at least one full semester are eligible to apply.  Students re asked to please stop by and check the list for eligibility. Oversights and errors should be brought to the immediate attention of Ms. Norway.  Applications for students wishing to apply for membership in the National Honor Society will be available in the guidance office next week.

Bowling tryouts: Tuesday Nov. 3,  boys 3:10 - 4:45, girls 4:00 - 5:30.  

Boys Basketball practice and team selection - Varsity, reserve, freshman.

Friday evening 5:00 - 7:00, Saturday morning 8:30 to 10:30 and Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 in the main and auxiliary gyms.

Blood Drive/Mobile

Staff and students ages 16 and up may sign up in the main office for the bloodmobile scheduled for November 17.  Please see Amy to make an appointment.

Anyone who ordered a Powder Puff T-shirt needs to pay Wendy in the Athletic office.  Senior shirts are $12 and Junior shirts are $14.  All money must be in by Tuesday, November 3rd.

There will be a full Thespian troupe meeting on Wednesday, October 28 after school in room 316.  All members are expected to attend.  Please plan to share your showcase performance plans at the meeting.  See Mrs. Riggs with questions.

Pirate Girl has been cancelled for this evening. Costume and other crews will still work tonight until 5 p.m..   T

The next rehearsal will be Monday, October  19, 5-8 p.m.. Cast members are reminded to have their costumes on Monday.

All students interested in Upward Bound should have their applications into the guidance office by Thursday, October 22.  Please see Mrs. Hall in the guidance office if you have questions.

Pre-sale tickets for Friday night's football game at DeSales are on sale all week in in the  athletic office.  Cost is $5 for students and $6 for adults.  

There will be a parent meeting for all those interested in archery on October 21st at the middle school at 7:00p.m..  This meeting is mandatory and parents will be able to meet the coaches, pick up necessary paperwork, get details on practices, tryouts, participation fees, etc...

Girls tennis: All uniforms should be turned in to Coach Helber room 201 as soon as possible.  **The award banquet is on Tuesday 10/13, in the lecture hall at 6:30 p.m.. 

Jr./Sr. Powder Puff participants: An introductory meeting will be hald after school in Room 142 on October 14 at 2:40.  All players should plan to be there.

All juniors interested in furthering their education to a 4 year college and qualifying for National Merit Scholarships:  PSAT will be offered on Wed. October 14, periods 1-6.  Cost is $15.00.  Sign up in the guidance office by Fri. Oct 9, cash or check payable to LHS.  

The Pirate Girl company will be selling bracelets and temporary tattoos again on Thursday Oct. 8 during lunch periods in the cafeteria.  Bracelets are $1.00, and tattoos are 50 cents.  Show your support for Pirate Girl by sporting some swag!

Boys tennis fall open courts: Boys interested in playing tennis in the spring should stop by room 161 this week to see Coach Seimer for information regarding fall open courts, which will begin next week after school.

Any senior who did not attend last Fridays assembly with the Herff Jones rep should stop by the main office and pick up a packet to order graduation announcements, cap and gown etc...  Representatives will be here next Wed., October 7 during lunch periods and after school to take orders.
